However, the operation of local trains is running normally. The bandh by Shiv Sena, NCP and Congress has been supported by several traders associations in Mumbai, Pune, Thane and Nashik. On Monday morning, some buses were also seen running in cities like Mumbai and Pune and people were seen traveling, but these buses were also stopped after protests by workers of ruling parties.

Sanjay Raut said – Maharashtra bandh is 100% successful

Shiv Sena’s Rajya Sabha MP Sanjay Raut has described the bandh as 100% successful. Raut said that the people themselves are opposing the crushing of farmers in Lakhimpur Kheri and they have supported the bandh. Meanwhile, there is also news that 8 buses of BEST were vandalized in Mumbai in the night. A BEST spokesperson said that we have sought police protection from the government in the wake of the attacks. BJP opposed the bandh saying that Shiv Sena has always opposed development. BJP leader Ashish Shelar said, “Shiv Sena has always opposed development. He also indirectly supported the strike in the mills in 1980. Apart from this, airports in Navi Mumbai, Sindhudurg and coastal routes were also opposed.

Pune-Bengaluru Highway Shiv Sainiks jammed, Congress will observe silence

The BJP leader said that now Shiv Sena and its allies have organized a bandh at a time when people in the state are already under stress due to the Corona lockdown. Apart from buses, the operation of autos and taxis is also affected in many cities of the state. Many taxi unions have supported the bandh. Auto and taxi operations have been affected since morning in areas like Mumbai, Thane, Kalyan Dombivli. Not only this, Shiv Sainiks have also blocked the Pune-Bengaluru highway. Apart from Shiv Sena, Congress is also actively participating in this bandh. Congress has announced to observe a silent fast outside the Raj Bhavan from 11 am.
