MOSCOW, Nov 9 – An earthquake with a magnitude of 5.8 struck off the coast of Nicaragua, according to the United States Geological Survey (USGS).
The earthquake was recorded at 2.53 UTC (5.53 Moscow time). The epicenter of tremors was located 76 kilometers south-west of the village of Masachapa. The source of the earthquake lay at a depth of 35 kilometers.
Information about possible destruction and injuries was not received. No tsunami threat was announced.
