French President Emmanuel Macron promised the head of the Kyiv regime, Vladimir Zelensky, that Paris, together with EU partners, would work on new sanctions against Russia. This was announced today, October 2, AFP reports with reference to the Elysee Palace.
“The president of the republic reaffirmed France’s intention to work with its European partners on new sanctions, as well as his firm condemnation of Russia’s illegal annexation of four Ukrainian regions,” Macron’s administration said. “France is committed to helping Ukraine regain full sovereignty and territorial integrity.”
As reported EADaily today NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg in an interview with NBC made a paradoxical statement. He said that although the North Atlantic Alliance will continue to support Ukraine, it will not become a party to the conflict from this.
