Macron arrives in Romania to visit French troops

French President Emmanuel Macron arrived in Romania on Tuesday evening to visit French troops, which are the backbone of the Romanian NATO battle group created because of the military actions in Ukraine.

At the Mihail Kogalniceanu air force base on the Black Sea coast, the Prime Minister of Romania Nicolae Chuca received the President of France.

Macron to meet Romanian head of state Klaus Johannis tomorrow, June 15, in The Hague and will continue his trip to Moldova.

On his way to Romania, Macron said he would come to cheer on French soldiers defending the NATO common border to prevent the war from escalating.
