Lukoil and Eni submit joint bids to develop offshore blocks in Congo

The Russian and Italian companies Lukoil and Eni have submitted joint bids for the development of Marine 24 and Marine 31 offshore blocks in the Republic of the Congo. Work will be carried out on them under a production sharing agreement, writes TASS.

This statement was made to reporters by the Vice President of Lukoil for America, Africa and the Middle East. Ivan Romanovsky. According to him, the share of the Russian oil company in the consortium may reach 43%.

Romanovsky noted that at the moment the parties are in the process of discussing the final commercial terms for applications for the development of blocks in the Congo. The companies’ applications have already been accepted by the government, Lukoil’s vice president added.
