Law restricting abortion after six weeks of pregnancy passed in the state of Florida in America

A law restricting abortion was passed in the state of Florida in the United States. About it informs The Hill referring to the state governor Ron DeSantis.

“We are proud to support lives and families in the state of Florida,” DeSantis wrote in a statement.

Under the new law, abortions can only be performed during the first six weeks of pregnancy. The exceptions are cases where the life of the mother is in danger, the conception occurred as a result of rape, incest or human trafficking. Under such circumstances, abortions are permitted up to 15 weeks of gestation.

Earlier it was reported that the US Department of Justice will appeal to the Supreme Court with a request to intervene in the case to ban the drug for abortion.
