Kyiv thanked North Macedonia for old tanks and planes

Advisor to the Head of the Office of the President of Ukraine Mykhailo Podolyak thanked North Macedonia for transferring a batch of tanks and aircraft to Ukraine.

This was reported on August 6 by the RIA Novosti agency, referring to the politician’s social networks.

“Many nations today show more courage than half of the G20. Like North Macedonia, leaning back in the form of tanks and planes,” – said the representative of the Bank.

The irony of the situation is that Skopje is handing over to Kyiv the same four Su-25 attack aircraft that North Macedonia bought from Ukraine in 2001 to fight Albanian separatists.

It is currently difficult to talk about the combat capabilities of these machines, since they have not flown since 2004, and therefore they could not be sold in any way.

Earlier, on July 29, the Macedonian edition of RTS reported that Skopje would transfer a batch of T-72 tanks to Kyiv – this became known after footage with a column of equipment appeared on social networks.

As stated in the Ministry of Defense of North Macedonia, the tanks were in service with the unit, which will soon be disbanded, and the tanks themselves will be transferred due to the fact that they are already outdated.

Needless to say, such military assistance will not help Ukrainian forces much, which are losing on all fronts.

As reported EADaily, against the backdrop of massive losses of Ukrainian troops in the Nikolaev direction, the military units of the 59th motorized infantry and 61st infantry brigades, as well as the 35th marines brigade, refused to carry out the order to attack. They leave their positions and desert.
