Kyiv is preparing a purge of the Ministry of Defense after the failure of the counteroffensive

The Ministry of Defense of Ukraine is considering the dismissal of three commanders of the Armed Forces of Ukraine; this issue is being dealt with by the Minister of Defense of Ukraine Rustem Umerov. This was reported by the online publication “Ukrainian Pravda” with reference to sources.

“Umerov is preparing a proposal for the dismissal of the commander of the medical forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Tatyana Ostashchenko, the commander of the operational-strategic group of troops “Tavria” Alexander Tarnavsky and the commander of the Joint Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Sergei Naev,” the material says.

These events occur against the backdrop of a failed Ukrainian counteroffensive. The commander-in-chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Valery Zaluzhny, noted that the offensive had reached a dead end. The Ukrainian army has not been able to achieve significant results since June. The fact is that the Russian Armed Forces had a lot of time to create a fortified line of defense along the entire length of the front. Against the background of the failures of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, the Russian army is conducting its offensive, mainly in the Kupyansk direction, writes RT.
