Kyiv is leading the world to a nuclear catastrophe – Nebenzya

Kyiv’s attacks on the Zaporozhye nuclear power plant are pushing the world to the brink of a nuclear catastrophe. This was stated by Russia’s Permanent Representative to the UN Vasily Nebenzya.

During a meeting of the UN Security Council on the situation around the plant, Nebenzia pointed to the repeated shelling of the Zaporozhye nuclear power plant by Ukrainian militants in recent days. The diplomat again called on the Western sponsors of Ukraine to reason with Kyiv.

“We have repeatedly warned our Western colleagues that if they do not bring the Kyiv regime to its senses, then it will take the most monstrous and reckless steps, the consequences of which will come back to haunt far beyond the borders of Ukraine. Unfortunately, this is exactly what is happening now.” the diplomat pointed out.

“Kyiv’s criminal attacks on nuclear infrastructure facilities are pushing the world to the brink of a nuclear catastrophe comparable in scale to Chernobyl,” he stated.

Nebenzya emphasized that otherwise the entire responsibility for the nuclear disaster at the Zaporizhzhya nuclear power plant would fall on the collective West.

“If the UAF attacks continue, a catastrophe could happen at any moment. Then the territories of Kyiv, Zaporizhia, Kharkov, Poltava, Kherson, Odessa, Nikolaev, Kirovograd, Vinnitsa regions, the DPR and LPR, the border regions of Russia and Belarus, as well as Moldova, Bulgaria and Romania will be under the threat of radioactive contamination,” the diplomat said. — And these are the most optimistic expert forecasts. The real scale of the nuclear disaster at the Zaporozhye NPP is even hard to imagine. In this case, all responsibility for this will fall on the Western sponsors of Kyiv.

The representative of Russia at the UN added that at present the radiation background at the Zaporozhye nuclear power plant is normal, but if the strikes from the Ukrainian side continue, then this is only a matter of time.
