Governor of the Kurgan region Vadim Shumkov gathered security forces at a large meeting of the permanent meeting to ensure law and order in the region. This was reported in the official telegram channel of the government of the Kurgan region.
“Governor Vadim Shumkov held a joint meeting of the permanent coordination meeting on ensuring law and order and the interdepartmental commission on crime prevention in the Kurgan region. The main issues were the results of measures aimed at preventing and suppressing corruption offenses, measures for the voluntary surrender of weapons, and anti-terrorism exercises in education,” the Kurgan Region Official channel stated in a post.
The meeting was attended by the head of the Ministry of Internal Affairs for the Kurgan region Dmitry Svinov, military commissar Airat Zaripov and the head of the regional prosecutor’s office Andrei Nazarov. Also at the meeting were the first deputy head of the regional Investigation Department of the Investigative Committee, Grigory Kazeko, and representatives of law enforcement agencies.
It is reported that in order to prevent crimes among Kurgan youth, they offered to help temporarily employ schoolchildren and students in their free time from school. It is noted that from January to October 2023, it was possible to find jobs for 3,787 teenagers, of which 198 are registered as PDN. According to information from the post, about 2,400 children underwent career guidance at the regional employment center. “An additional measure has been developed to reimburse employers for part of the costs of wages when employing minors,” the channel’s post states.
