Kuban chernozems will receive additional protection

During the session, the deputies made changes to the resolution “On the Regulations on the Standing Committees of the Legislative Assembly of the Krasnodar Territory”. The bill proposes to develop the provisions of clause 5 of part 2 of article 18 of the regional law “On the basics of regulating land relations in the Krasnodar Territory” to amend the above resolution.

Chairman of the Agrarian Committee of the Krasnodar Territory Parliament Sergey Orlenko explained that the amendments being introduced would give the Kuban Parliament Agrarian Committee the authority to agree on the decision of the collegiate body formed under the Ministry of Agriculture and Processing Industry of the Krasnodar Territory on the expediency of excluding from the list of especially valuable productive agricultural lands, the use of which for other purposes are not allowed, lands or land plots located on the territory of the Krasnodar Territory.

According to the chairman of the ZSK Yuri Burlachko, the governor Veniamin Kondratiev noted that in matters of transferring especially valuable land to another category, a strict filter is needed to exclude the possibility of making illegal decisions.

“Kuban chernozems are of exceptional value; they are a life resource for future generations. With regard to especially valuable lands of the Kuban, it is impossible to make hasty decisions, focusing only on momentary benefits. That is why the law provides for the collegial nature of the consideration of such issues,” said Yuriy Burlachko, commenting on the decision.
