Krasnoyarsk ex-governor Alexander Uss got the opportunity to become a deputy of the Legislative Assembly and a senator

The ex-governor of the Krasnoyarsk Territory Alexander Uss will become a deputy of the legislative assembly of the region. The fact that the regional branch of “United Russia” has asked to transfer him a vacant mandate, reported in the regional election committee.

Mr. Uss will receive the mandate of Nikolai Kreminsky, who surrendered it in mid-May, citing personal circumstances. In 2021, Alexander Uss, who then led the region, headed the electoral list of United Russia in the elections to the Legislative Assembly. But after summing up the results of the elections, he refused the mandate. As Kommersant reported, a registered candidate can twice participate in replacing the mandate of a deputy of the Krasnoyarsk regional parliament.

Yesterday, the Federation Council, at the request of the senator from the legislative branch of power of the Krasnoyarsk Territory, Valery Semenov, terminated his powers ahead of schedule. Thus, Alexander Uss got the opportunity to be elected as the new Krasnoyarsk senator.

Recall that Governor Alexander Uss resigned in April this year. Then, after a meeting with Russian President Vladimir Putin, he said that “he received an offer to continue working at the federal level, but at the same time to deal with issues of socio-economic development of our region.”
