Korea Times: Putin gave a hint to South Korea during Kim Jong-un’s visit

Russian President Vladimir Putin, at a meeting with the leader of the DPRK, hinted to South Korea to stop supporting Ukraine. This was reported by Andrei Lankov, a professor at Kookmin University in Seoul, in an interview with the Korea Times newspaper.

“Russia is trying to sound the alarm that South Korea will pay a price if it helps Ukraine with weapons. If South Korea helps Ukraine, Russia will help North Korea develop its missile and nuclear potential through the transfer of Russian technology,” Andrei Lankov said for Korea Times. According to him, Vladimir Putin could offer Kim cooperation in the nuclear industry, thereby making it clear to South Korea that it needs to refuse support for Ukraine.

Earlier, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Korea reported that the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of South Korea summoned the Russian Ambassador to Seoul Andrei Kulik, reports “National News Service” South Korean President Yoon Seok-yeol said that cooperation between Russia and North Korea in the military sphere contradicts the UN Security Council resolution.
