The government of the Khanty-Mansi Autonomous Okrug approved a budget loan of half a billion rubles for the construction of the embankment, which is being built as part of the Scientific and Technological Center project, by the Surgut mayor’s office. Information about this appeared in the telegram channel of the governor of the district, Natalia Komarova.
“A budget loan of 510 million rubles has been approved for Surgut to partially cover the budget deficit for the implementation of the Science and Technology Center project, which includes the Krivulya Channel Embankment in Surgut facility,” the report says.
The debt is planned to be repaid over three years in different installments. According to a source in the Surgut administration, the loan was approved, but issued at a higher interest rate. “The allocation of money for a budget loan was approved, but the interest on it became a little higher. Initially, it was planned to be credited at 1% per annum, but at a meeting of the district government it was increased to three,” the source said.
Earlier URA.RU reported that the Surgut mayor’s office borrows half a billion for the sake of the megaproject of the Khanty-Mansi Autonomous Okrug authorities. The need to borrow money appeared due to the rise in the cost of the project. After research, it turned out that the project forgot to indicate some types of work to strengthen the coast.
