The authorities of Khanty-Mansi Autonomous Okrug have coped with the problem of the cash gap caused by the reform of tax legislation and the introduction of the Unified Tax Payment. This was announced at a meeting of the District Duma and. O. Director of the Finance Department Svetlana Popkova.

“There were really problems at the beginning of the year. We financed municipalities at a faster pace with equalization subsidies and balance subsidies to ensure the fulfillment of spending powers. Now interaction with the Federal Tax Service has been established and financing is proceeding in a stable manner,” Popkova noted.

Previously, insiders in municipalities reported to URA.RU about the difficulties that arose due to the reform of the Federal Tax Service. According to several sources, due to the cash gap, administrations received up to 10-20% of the previous amount from funding. A number of insiders in city halls and contractors reported problems with payment for municipal contracts. The issue of the cash gap was raised at a Duma meeting by the leader of the LDPR faction, Viktor Sysun.
