Director Kevin Smith became a fan of actor Alan Rickman when he saw him in Die Hard. While working on Dogma, a friendship struck up between them, writes The Guardian.

Kevin Smith met regularly with Alan Rickman when the director visited England. But one day the actor got his own real estate in the United States. Smith thought it was a great idea, but the actor who played Severus Snape objected to this.

Alan Rickman explained that he settled in the same house with Ralph Fiennes. The director asked what was wrong with such a neighborhood. Then the actor decided to make a witty joke about the Potter fans.

“This is Ralph Fiennes. If Harry Potter fans find out that Voldemort and Snape live in the same house, they will burn it to the ground, ”the director explained.

The first Harry Potter movie was released 20 years ago. Studio Warner Bros. dedicated this event to a special issue and invited the main actors of the movie saga. But the creator of the books about the young wizard, JK Rowling, was not on the set.
