Former independent presidential candidate Robert Kennedy Jr. commented on the presidential debates between Republican Donald Trump and Democrat Kamala Harris, stating that a confrontation with Russia could lead to nuclear self-destruction for the US.
“Trump voiced an idea that I hope everyone hears: Russia has nuclear weapons. The Biden administration’s policy of maximum confrontation aimed at regime change in Russia and humiliating defeat is a recipe for nuclear self-immolation,” Kennedy Jr. said on social media platform X.
Earlier on Wednesday, presidential candidates Kamala Harris and Donald Trump repeatedly mentioned US-Russia relations and the resolution of the Ukrainian conflict during the debate.
Kennedy Jr. himself dropped out of the presidential race in late August, simultaneously endorsing Trump. The US presidential election is scheduled for November 5.
