Former independent presidential candidate Robert Kennedy Jr. has urged the US administration to stop the reckless escalation linked to discussions on allowing Ukraine to use Western weapons to strike deep into Russian territory.
Russian President Vladimir Putin had earlier stated that NATO countries are currently discussing not just the possible use of Western long-range weapons by Kyiv but are essentially deciding whether to directly involve themselves in the Ukrainian conflict. Direct Western involvement in the conflict would fundamentally change its nature, and Russia would be forced to make decisions based on the threats thus created, he added.
“Secretary Blinken, President Biden – stop this! Stop this reckless escalation. I’m saying this not as a political partisan, but simply as a citizen of the world,” Kennedy Jr. commented in a video addressing Putin’s warning.

Earlier, the White House did not announce a decision by the US leader to allow Ukraine to use Western rockets to strike deep into Russian territory in its final statement following a meeting between US President Joe Biden and British Prime Minister Keir Starmer.
Before the meeting, Biden told White House pool journalists that this issue would be discussed during the talks with Starmer.
On Friday, Russian leader’s press secretary Dmitry Peskov stated that President Putin’s statement on the consequences of Western weapons striking deep into Russia was extremely clear and unequivocal, leaving no doubt that it had reached its intended audience.
