The Kazakhstan national oil transportation company Kaztransoil exported 690 thousand tons of oil to Germany through the Transneft oil pipeline system in January–October 2023. As they say in message press service of the Kazakh company, another 100 thousand tons are expected to be delivered in November.
In December 2022, Kaztransoil received an application to transport 1.2 million tons of oil in 2023 through the Transneft system to the Adam’s Gate delivery point (Poland) for further transportation to Germany. The Kazakh company notes that it has the technical capabilities to transport such quantities of oil, but the actual volumes depend on the requests of oil companies.
The Ministry of Energy of Kazakhstan is negotiating to increase the volume of oil supplies to Germany to 2 million tons per year via the Druzhba oil pipeline. According to Astana, the German side has expressed interest in increasing supply volumes.
