A businessman from Kazakhstan was offered $1 million to transport rare earth metals from Australia to Russia. This was reported Reuters.

Russian companies offer entrepreneurs from Kazakhstan to participate in the delivery of necessary goods, bypassing Western sanctions.

“From telephones and bearings to aircraft parts and rare earth metals,” a Kazakhstani entrepreneur told the publication about his rejected requests.

The publication also cited the words of another Asian businessman to whom a European company refused to sell equipment due to fears that the equipment could end up in Russia. But then a proposal was received from a Turkish company to supply a similar batch of goods.

In early March, Turkey blocked the transit of sanctioned goods to Russia. The customs of the republic stopped letting the goods through, blocking their clearance. Entrepreneurs linked the ban to the recent visit to Turkey by US Secretary of State Anthony Blinken.
