Vice President Kamala Harris has expanded her lead over former President Donald Trump by four points, marking the largest lead among Democrats in nearly a year.
A Morning Consult poll shows Harris with 48% support compared to Trump’s 44% among registered voters nationwide. Newsweek reports, citing a Morning Consult poll.
Harris has gained five percentage points more support among independent voters than Trump, standing at 42%.

Harris leads Trump by nine points among young voters aged 18 to 34, with 49% support compared to Trump’s 40%.
The Morning Consult poll was conducted from August 2 to 4, surveying 11,265 voters with a margin of error of one point.
