The power system of the Kaliningrad region has successfully passed the test of operation in an isolated mode and has proved its self-sufficiency. This is reported by Rosseti.

As part of the tests, specialists suspended the operation of power lines that connect the Kaliningrad region with Lithuania. As a result, it turned out that the power system of the Russian subject is ready to work in the “island” mode without any interruptions.

Previously authorized under the President of Russia for the protection of the rights of entrepreneurs Boris Titov announced the importance of concessions for carriers from Kaliningrad. According to the Ombudsman, it is necessary to allow them to use freight transport, placed under the special procedure of the FTZ, as a tool for flights within the Russian Federation.
