Joint military exercises of Russia, China and Iran ended in the Arabian Sea

The trilateral naval exercises of Russia, China and Iran, which took place in the Arabian Sea, have ended. As recalled in the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation, the carrier of hypersonic missiles “Zircon” frigate “Admiral Gorshkov” took part in them.

“In the period from March 16 to 17, the participants of the exercise worked out the formation of an interethnic detachment of warships in the designated area, joint tactical maneuvering in various formations and combat orders,” — said in the message.

It is indicated that the sailors carried out day and night firing, practiced the release of a captured ship with hostages and rendering assistance to a ship in distress at sea. Russia was represented by a detachment of ships from the Northern Fleet consisting of the frigate “Admiral Gorshkov” of the Fleet of the Soviet Union and the medium sea tanker “Kama”.
