Izvestia: a draft law on the introduction of a certificate for newborns will be submitted to the State Duma

Senators and deputies of the State Duma from the LDPR party have prepared a bill for submission to parliament, according to which an institution of certificates for newborns will appear in Russia. Families with incomes below two regional subsistence levels will be able to apply for this type of state assistance, the newspaper reports. “News”.

“The lack of such assistance for the birth of a child in other, poorer regions causes people to feel social injustice and resentment,” the authors of the project believe.

In their opinion, student families are especially in need of certificates that can be spent on essential goods for newborns.

In 2023, the lump sum payment for the birth of a child is 22,909 rubles.
