It became known about Trump’s reluctance to help Ukraine

US President Donald Trump said he did not want to provide military assistance to Ukraine. This was written by The Wall Street Journal, citing the book of Trump’s former national security adviser John Bolton, which was at her disposal.

Thus, it became known that the American president has repeatedly demanded that officials stop helping Ukraine “in retaliation for its actions in 2016” and “leverage” on the country to investigate the former US vice president and likely candidate Democratic Party in the upcoming presidential election of Joe Biden.

So, Trump said that Ukraine “tried to destroy him,” so he was not interested in helping her.
It is noted that during a meeting in the White House in May 2019, which was dedicated to military assistance to Ukraine, Trump said that Ukrainian leader Vladimir Zelensky can visit the White House only if they tell him what Trump himself thinks about it.

In September 2019, a scandal erupted in the United States due to information about the pressure that Trump allegedly exerted on Zelensky.

According to some reports, during a July telephone conversation, the American president demanded that in exchange for military and financial assistance in Ukraine, an investigation should be launched into the activities of Hunter Biden, son of Trump’s political opponent, former US Vice President Joe Biden. After that, the Democrats initiated an impeachment procedure, following which Trump was acquitted.

In May, federal judge Amy Jackson ordered the Trump administration to send at least 20 emails to the court that talk about US military assistance to Ukraine.
