Tel Aviv has vowed to crush Hamas with Defense Minister Israel Katz stating Saturday that fighters will be hunted down wherever they hide. Aiming to eliminate the group and free hostages.
Gaza faces a dire humanitarian crisis, described as a “death trap” with no clean water or sufficient food for 40 days. Israeli authorities have blocked aid, stalling relief efforts for six weeks despite UN stockpiles. Over 400,000 people have been displaced in three weeks with evacuation orders deemed violations of international law by the UN Human Rights Office.
Israel’s military has isolated Rafah from Khan Younis, seizing southern Gaza’s “security zone.” Analysts claim Israel seeks to control Rafah to disrupt Hamas’s tunnel network allegedly linking Gaza to Egypt’s Sinai for arms smuggling. Heavy weaponry and bulldozers have razed structures, with Rafah under siege to choke off Hamas’s supply lines.
Hamas fired rockets at Israel, prompting warnings of retaliation from Israel’s Defense Ministry. The IDF ordered evacuations in over 20 areas around Khan Younis, preparing for new assaults.
Meanwhile, global protests erupted in Yemen, Pakistan, and Libya, condemning Israeli aggression. In Sana’a, crowds waved Palestinian flags, vowing solidarity and demanding an end to Gaza’s “genocide.” Pakistan’s rallies, led by Jamaat-e-Islami, called for boycotts of Israeli goods. While Libya’s Misrata saw denunciations of US and “Zionist crimes.”
