Armed conflict between Israel and the Gaza Strip
Thousands of Russians with Russian and Israeli citizenship have already been drafted into the Israeli army. This was stated by Israeli Ambassador to Russia Alexander Ben Zvi, noting that all mobilization rules apply to such citizens.
“Thousands of them have already been called up, I think. Those who have dual citizenship,” said Alexander Ben Zvi in an interview with TASS. He added that binational citizens are subject to the same rules as native Israelis. Therefore, they will not be able to avoid mobilization, the ambassador concluded.
The conflict between the Palestinian organization Hamas and Israel escalated on October 7. Earlier, the Israeli ambassador said that relocants who moved to Israel in 2022 are subject to mandatory conscription into the IDF.
