Israel has agreed to return to ceasefire talks following a ministerial meeting, with the decision announced by Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s office. This move comes after US proposal aimed at de-escalating ongoing conflict.

Despite ongoing discussions in Cairo between Hamas and Israeli representatives, violence persisted in Gaza’s northern region. An Israeli airstrike targeted Beit Lahia, resulting in at least nine casualties.
Tel Aviv claimed the strike targeted terrorists, though families of the victims rejected this, stating their loved ones were innocent civilians.
Among those killed were aid workers volunteers, and journalists. Victims’ families insisted they were engaged in relief efforts when the attack occurred. “We were working when suddenly a rocket hit. Many died, many were injured. We rushed them to the hospital,” a witness said.
Israel’s military maintained the strike targeted militants involved in drone attack attempt though no evidence supporting this claim was presented.
As violence unfolded ceasefire talks continued in Cairo, with Israel expressing readiness to engage based on Washington’s proposal.
