Israel launched widespread airstrikes targeting multiple locations in Syria including the capital Damascus.
Attacks coincided with public celebrations of Bashar al-Assad’s downfall. While Tel Aviv claimed the strikes were directed at Syrian military positions reports indicate significant impact across civilian areas.

Key targets included the headquarters of Syria’s Fourth Division and a radar battalion. Additionally Israeli forces advanced further after seizing the UN-controlled buffer zone, releasing videos of their progress.
Reports suggest Israeli battalions have now reached Tel Hadar Mountain, located 10 kilometers inside Syria and just 20 kilometers from Damascus.
Earlier Israeli Defense Forces (IDF) secured control of the historic Mount Hermon, which offers strategic observation over the Golan Heights.

UN has expressed concern over potential threats to its facilities which have so far remained unharmed. However humanitarian operations in Syria face disruptions amidst escalating violence.

Israel has deployed long-range weapons including anti-aircraft and anti-tank missiles, at strategic points along the border.
