IRNA: Resolving JCPOA technical issues is an important condition for an agreement


    After almost five months of suspension, negotiations in Vienna resumed on August 4, with not only the effective and permanent lifting of sanctions, but also the closure of technical issues regarding Iran’s nuclear program, being a prerequisite for reaching a final agreement.     The Islamic Republic of Iran is fulfilling its nuclear obligations under the nuclear agreement (JCPOA), from which the US government Donald Trump came out in May 2018.

    Since April 2021, the Islamic Republic of Iran has been negotiating in good faith with other parties to resume full implementation of the agreement, but due to the inability of the US presidential administration Joe Biden make a political decision to return to this agreement and ensure that Iran receives the promised economic benefits, a return to the agreement remains elusive for now.
