Iran’s Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei has refused to engage in nuclear talks with United States, strongly criticizing Washington’s dominance. Khamenei accused US of seeking regional control rather than resolving issues – CNN report.

Speaking in Tehran Khamenei claimed US aims to impose conditions not only on Iran’s nuclear activities but also on its defense capabilities and international relations.

Following his remarks International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) warned that time for diplomatic solutions to limit Iran’s nuclear activities is running out. IAEA chief Rafael Grossi expressed concern over Tehran’s accelerated uranium enrichment efforts.
US President Donald Trump reintroduced his “maximum pressure” strategy against Tehran imposing new sanctions on Iran’s oil exports. Washington stated these measures aim to intensify economic pressure on Iran.
