Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation will open a criminal case on the fact of the destruction of part of the Sverdlovsk WWII memorial by a truck

Chairman of the Sledkom of the Russian Federation Alexander Bastrykin instructed to open a criminal case on damage to the WWII memorial in the village of Kedrovka, Sverdlovsk region, by a truck. This was reported in the press service of the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation.

“The initiation of a criminal case on the fact of partial damage to the monument of the Great Patriotic War in Kedrovka by a heavy truck was entrusted to the acting head of the Investigative Committee of the Russian Investigative Committee for the Sverdlovsk Region Anatoly Nadbitov. The procedural check and the progress of the order were put under control in the central office of the Investigative Committee,” the ministry’s telegram channel said.

Earlier, URA.RU reported on a truck that demolished part of the memorial complex in honor of the victory in the Great Patriotic War in Kedrovka (Sverdlovsk region). Police are looking for the driver who fled the scene to bring him to justice.
