American entrepreneur Elon Musk will be questioned on October 6 and 7 under oath by lawyers for the social network Twitter, which is preparing for trial over the billionaire’s attempt to back out of a $44 billion takeover deal, Reuters reported on September 27, citing a court statement.
Musk was originally scheduled to be interviewed by company lawyers this week. Note that the reason for the postponement of the interview is not specified.
Twitter lawyers are expected to take advantage of Musk’s testimony and later try to prove that the businessman is pulling out of the deal due to the fall in financial markets. Musk himself claims that he changed his mind about buying the company due to the fact that Twitter allegedly did not disclose full information about the number of bots, and also hid flaws in the security system.
