A man who previously served 15 years in prison for murder will be convicted in Yekaterinburg. “The investigation of a criminal case against a 43-year-old previously convicted resident of Yekaterinburg has been completed,” the department said. This skirmish was noticed by another resident of Yekaterinburg. To prevent him from reporting this to the police, the 43-year-old man decided to kill the witness. “He struck him with a piercing and cutting weapon in the neck area, as a result of which the victim was mortally wounded. He died at the scene,” the ICR said. On the same evening, the accused attacked a 21-year-old student, from whom he tried to steal a bag, but the girl managed to escape.

To establish all the facts, the investigator interviewed more than 30 witnesses, conducted inspections of the scene, confrontations, searches and seizures. Now the criminal case has been sent to the Sverdlovsk Regional Court for consideration on the merits.

The media relations department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia for the city of Yekaterinburg clarified that the man was detained during large-scale operational-search activities. “In the course of operational actions, the detectives managed to identify the suspect in a short time and subsequently force him to reveal himself.
