The Odessa Malinovsky District Court sentenced the governor of the Kherson region, Vladimir Saldo, in absentia to 15 years in prison. This was reported by the press service of the court.

The head of the Kherson region was accused of treason under martial law. “During the judicial debate, the prosecution asked to find Saldo guilty and impose an appropriate punishment within the limits of the sanctions imposed by the article, namely 15 years of imprisonment with confiscation of property,” says a message on the court’s website.

Previously, Ukrainian authorities confiscated property from Saldo in Kherson, including a house and three apartments. Then the head of the region said that he would “file an appeal by driving into the city in a tank,” reports MK.RU.
