In Tyumen, control over water bodies will be strengthened after the death of people who fell from the bridge into the river

After the death of two people who fell from the Chelyuskintsev bridge into the Tura River on May 30 and drowned, Tyumen will tighten control over safety in water bodies. This was reported to URA.RU by a source familiar with the situation.

“Most likely, security control on the Tour in the area of ​​​​the Tyumen bridges and the embankment will be strengthened by increasing the number of GIMS squads. In addition, there will be more lifebuoys in these locations. It is possible that more drastic measures will be taken regarding the safety of people at such facilities, ”said the agency’s interlocutor on condition of anonymity.

In the early morning of May 30, a girl and a young man alternately jumped into the Tura River from the Chelyuskintsev bridge. Toward evening, rescuers managed to remove the body of a man from the bottom of the reservoir.

A written request has been sent to the Information Center of the Government of the Tyumen Region. A response is expected.
