Ankara, 21 March 2023, 09:00 — REGNUM The Turkish authorities have compiled a list of goods for companies prohibited from exporting to Russia. This was announced on March 20 Reutersreferring to the head of the Istanbul Association of Exporters of Ferrous and Nonferrous Metals Cetina Tejdelioglu.

“The Turkish government handed over a list of banned foreign goods to companies and banned them from supplying these products to Russia from March 1”Tejdelioglu said.

According to him, goods from the list, produced in any other country, are prohibited from being transported to Russia, however, if the product is manufactured in Turkey using foreign parts, it does not fall under the ban.

The author of the publication in Reuters believes that the ban on the export of certain products to Russia will be a way for Turkey to avoid confrontation with the EU, which is a major importer of its goods.

Recall that on March 9, Turkey suddenly stopped sending sanctioned cargo to Russia through its territory.
