On the federal highway from Tyumen to KhMAO, a resident of the Perm Territory died, who allegedly fell asleep at the wheel and crashed into a heavy truck. As specified by the State traffic inspectorate of the city of Tobolsk, the accident occurred in the Yarkovsky district of the Tyumen region.

“On March 12, 2023, at about three in the morning in the Yarkovsky district on the 110th kilometer of the Tyumen-Khanty-Mansiysk federal highway, a 28-year-old resident of the Perm Territory, driving a LADA Vesta, hit a Scania P400 heavy truck with a semi-trailer standing on the side of the road. Presumably, the young man fell asleep at the wheel, ”the press service of the Tobolsk department said in a statement.

It was clarified that the man died from his injuries at the scene of the accident. All circumstances of the accident are still being investigated.
