In the Rostov region, 34 houses burned down in a major fire


The fire that began on the afternoon of August 15 in the Ust-Donetsk district of the Rostov region destroyed 34 buildings, the press service of the EMERCOM of Russia for the region reports. Extinguishing the fire continues until the site of ignition is localized, the ministry said.

On the weekend and on Monday, large fires broke out in several districts of the Rostov region due to air temperatures of about 40 ° C and strong winds with gusts of over 30 m / s. The largest fire in the Ust-Donetsk region – according to the morning of August 16, the fire is not localized, the fire area is about 136 hectares. The fire is extinguished by more than 342 people and 170 pieces of equipment, including a Mi-8 helicopter and an Il-76 aircraft.

65 people were evacuated from the village of Verkhnekundryuchenskaya to the neighboring farm of Evseevka. There were no deaths or injuries during the incident.
