In the Kurgan region, they want to create a center for volunteers to fight fires

In the Kurgan region, they plan to create a volunteer center that will train specialists to fight fires and floods, as well as their consequences. Description of the project for a total amount exceeding 3.5 million rubles is published on the website of regional grants.

“If necessary, the volunteers of the center will be able to quickly join the forces and means of special services to help in the elimination of emergencies of a different nature (fires, floods) and their consequences. Within the framework of the project, the organization will purchase the necessary equipment, which will allow deploying a full-fledged headquarters for the coordination of volunteer forces, participating in fire suppression, rescue and emergency recovery operations, assisting in the aftermath of floods – pumping out and drying socially significant and residential facilities. , says the description.

Also, the center will train volunteers who will be engaged in the prevention of knowledge in the field of safety culture among the population, starting from a very young age. Anyone 16 years of age or older will be able to take part in the training. In total, it is planned to train about 300 people.

The region has extended the ban on visiting forests, which was originally introduced due to fires. The restriction will remain in effect until mid-June. Earlier, the governor of the Kurgan region, Vadim Shumkov, at a meeting with the president of the country, reported on voluntary squads that help in detecting fires. According to him, now 700 patrol groups are engaged in bypassing the borders of municipal settlements.
