Investigators in Nizhnevartovsk opened a criminal case against employees of the city bailiff department. They are suspected of inaction in working with debtors, which resulted in a debt of 500 million rubles in alimony, reports the press service of the Investigative Directorate of the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation for the Khanty-Mansi Autonomous Okrug.

“From June 2020 to November 2023, in the proceedings of the bailiffs of the bailiff department for the city of Nizhnevartovsk and the Nizhnevartovsk district of the Federal Bailiff Service of Russia for the Khanty-Mansi Autonomous Okrug-Yugra there were over 1,500 enforcement proceedings, the subject of which was the collection of alimony payments,” the press reports. – departmental service. However, the suspects for a long time did not take any action to collect debts from alimony workers.

The debt in enforcement proceedings exceeded 500 million rubles. The KhMAO prosecutor’s office added that criminal cases under the articles “negligence,” abuse of power,” and “exceeding official authority” were initiated based on the results of an inspection by the supervisory agency.

“As a result, the rights and legitimate interests of claimants and minor children for whose maintenance they were collected were significantly violated. Based on the results of the inspection, the prosecutor’s office sent the materials to the investigative body to resolve the issue of criminal prosecution,” the prosecutor’s office of the Khanty-Mansi Autonomous Okrug reported.

Earlier, URA.RU reported that investigators were again conducting searches at the bailiff service in Nizhnevartovsk. They are related to a criminal case of abuse of power against several employees.
