In the Varnensky district of the Chelyabinsk region, a forest caught fire due to a dry thunderstorm on June 6. This was reported to URA.RU on June 7 at the State Forestry Department of the region.
“The foresters extinguished the fire on an area of 1.1 hectares. The fire occurred on the territory of the Varna forestry due to a dry thunderstorm,” the ministry said.
On June 6, 16 forest fires were extinguished in the region. The total fire area was 164.3 hectares.
