In the Chelyabinsk region in 2023, 358 new buses will appear. A large supply of this public transport to cities and regions is expected in the near future. Such an update has never happened in the region before, regional governor Alexey Texler told social networks.

“This year we are purchasing not only tram cars, but also a large number of buses for our municipalities. Very soon we are expecting a large supply of buses, which will be transferred to cities and regions. There has probably never been such an update in the region,” Texler said in his Telegram channel.

As Teksler noted, significant regional funds will be allocated to update the bus fleet in the region, and the national project “Safe Quality Roads” and other federal programs also provide great assistance.

The regional governor also warned district heads that participation in the program requires the presence of municipal carriers, which guarantees the uninterrupted operation of routes and equipment maintenance. Work to renew municipal vehicle fleets will continue in 2024.
