“Activists of the Surgut local branch of the LDPR held single pickets against the increase in the cost of gasoline. The LDPR stands for curbing fuel prices,” the publication states.
The department stated that they know the culprits behind the price increase. According to the leader of the Ugra Liberal Democrats faction in the KhMAD Duma, Viktor Sysun, it is associated with the shortfall in income of oil companies and oil refiners. “They are trying to compensate for their losses, but ordinary people, you and me, have to pay. Because an increase in the price of gasoline entails an increase in the price of food and other goods and services. It shouldn’t be like this! It is necessary to take effective measures at the state level. And LDPR activists in Surgut and other cities of Ugra protest with pickets,” commented Sysun. The politician said that he traveled half the country by car, and, in his opinion, the Khanty-Mansi Autonomous Okrug has some of the highest fuel prices.
Earlier, URA.RU wrote that the Russian authorities took emergency measures to stabilize prices for gasoline and diesel fuel. The government has introduced a temporary restriction on the export of motor gasoline and diesel fuel to stabilize the domestic market.
