On the territory of Rostov-on-Don, due to adverse weather conditions, mass events are temporarily prohibited, he said in his Telegram-channel the head of the city administration Alexei Logvinenko.

According to the mayor, all subordinate institutions have been notified of the ban on holding events during the passage of a thunderstorm front through the territory of the Don capital. Parents will also be informed about the need to comply with safety standards. Access to outdoor sports grounds will be limited.

“In connection with the storm warning, it was decided to move the festive events with the participation of children scheduled for June 1 to indoors. The sports festival and public events in parks dedicated to the International Children’s Day will be held when the weather is sunny,” wrote Alexey Logvinenko.

The day before, on May 30, in Rostov-on-Don, due to a strong storm wind, the spectator stand at the football stadium of the rowing canal fell down at the time of the game of schoolchildren. As a result of the incident, 36 people were injured (24 of them were children), one woman died. Law enforcement agencies are investigating the circumstances of the incident.
