In Odessa, a serviceman was detained, who, posing as an employee of the military registration and enlistment office, robbed draft dodgers. This was reported in the prosecutor’s office of the city.

Posing as an employee of the regional territorial recruitment and social support center (Ukrainian military registration and enlistment office), the man took $2,500 from those liable for military service, promising to help with the preparation of documents for legally crossing the border.

“It has been established that a serviceman, posing as an official of one of the RTCC and a joint venture in the Odessa region, received money in the amount of 2,500 US dollars. He received such funds with the assistance of a person liable for military service in the preparation and provision of documents that served him as a legal basis for crossing the state border,” – quotes the message of the prosecutor’s office URA.ru.

The soldier was taken into custody. An investigation is underway.
