A high risk of forest fires is predicted in the western part of the Kurgan region in October. This was reported to URA.RU by the public relations department of the FBU Avialesookhrana.
“During October, due to warm and dry weather, there may be high risks of the occurrence and spread of forest fires in 25 regions of Russia, including in three regions of the Ural Federal District. In the southern and eastern parts of the Chelyabinsk region, in the western part of the Kurgan region, in the southern part of the Sverdlovsk region,” the department said in a statement.
The forest fire risk forecast for October 2023 was developed by specialists from the Federal Aviation Forest Service. It is based on an analysis of long-term data on forest fire rates, actual data on the hydrometeorological situation for August 2023, and long-term forecast data for temperature and precipitation from the Hydrometeorological Center of Russia for October.
Earlier, URA.RU wrote that the first snow is predicted in Kurgan in mid-October. According to Gismeteo, it may fall in places on October 14 and 15.
