In Novy Urengoy, a pensioner stabbed a friend in a drunken stupor and received 12 years in prison

The pensioner appeared before the court in Novy Urengoy for the murder of a friend in a drunken stupor. An elderly man was sentenced to 12 years in prison in a special regime colony, according to the Investigative Committee of the RF Investigative Committee for the Yamalo-Nenets Autonomous Okrug (YaNAO).

According to investigators, the 64-year-old attacker drank alcohol with his future victim. During the feast, the man grabbed a knife and hit the guest in the chest. The defendant’s drinking buddy died from his wound.

The pensioner had previously been convicted of committing especially serious crimes against a person. The court found the resident of the YaNAO guilty under Part 1 of Article 105 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (“Murder”).

Earlier it became known that the court in Orenburg will continue the interrogation in the criminal case of the murder of doctor Elena Fedorova. Only one of the expected three witnesses came to the last meeting, reported RIA56.
