In Nizhnevartovsk, Khanty-Mansi Autonomous Okrug, a man barricaded himself in an apartment with a child, TASS was told in the press service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs. According to the department, the man fired a shot from the balcony into the air, no one was injured. REN TV citing a source transmitsthat the man opened fire from the balcony of the ninth floor at passers-by and arrived rescuers.

“The duty unit in Nizhnevartovsk received a message from a local resident that her husband was in an inadequate condition and was threatening suicide. And he locked himself in the apartment with the child, he does not open the door to anyone. When the Ministry of Emergency Situations tried to open the door, he fired a shot from the balcony into the air, there were no casualties,” the regional Ministry of Emergency Situations said.

REN TV writes that the residential high-rise building in which the man lives is located next to the school. Two neighboring houses were evacuated. According to the Telegram channel Mash, the man is armed with two guns – double-barreled and single-barreled. He also claims that he mined the entrance.
