In Khanty-Mansi Autonomous Okrug, the 80-year-old former head of the Pension Fund of Russia, accused of corruption, achieved the abolition of house arrest for the sake of a wedding

In Nizhnevartovsk, the court lifted the house arrest of the former head of the Pension Fund branch, Yuri Goncharuk, who is accused of accepting bribes in the amount of 5.5 million rubles. That is why the 80-year-old ex-official was able to freely appear at the wedding in the local church. The department of the Federal Penitentiary Service of Russia for the Khanty-Mansi Autonomous Okrug told URA.RU about this.

“In relation to this citizen, the court chose a preventive measure in the form of a ban on certain actions. It allows you to move freely throughout the municipality,” the department said.

As a source in the political establishment told URA.RU, Goncharuk married the head of one of the local companies. “Previously, this organization was managed by Goncharuk himself,” says the insider. It was not possible to contact Goncharuk at the time of publication.

According to the investigation, in March 2015, Goncharuk received from the director of Nefteservis LLC, Ekaterina Simakova, a bribe in the amount of 3 million rubles for reducing from 40% to 20% sanctions for non-payment of insurance premiums in the amount of over 67 million rubles. The accused contributed to the reduction of fines for society from 26 million to 13 million rubles.
